UPDATE JUNE 2023 - FLASH SALE

Posted by Nikki Crome on

Hey, CROMIES!

Wanted to update you all and reach out in hopes for a few sales before my website is unavailable!

If you weren't aware, I had to move back to Chicago from Colorado in April due to a surprise "you need to move out in 3 weeks because my family needs your room and are moving in". The small town I was living in has a horrible housing market, and it was impossible to find a place for me and a 3/4 month old puppy.

However, during that time - I reached out to my old employee in Chicago at a design studio because they told me anytime I wanted to come back, I was definitely welcomed! It was one of the best jobs I ever had where I felt like my creativity and OCD-attention-to-detail was appreciated and also where it soared. We had a select team of creatives with an array of skillsets that helped formulate amazing conceptual "influencer kits" for a plethora of big name clients. From creating large shipping crates out of cardboard for Spotify to be sent to several influencers, celebs, and winning fans by Christmas, down to 3d Modeled Skittle-colored heads of fans that won a contest,,doused with a believable looking yogurt, and topped with skittles placed all over, and even a halloween zombie Skittles costume with "zombie" smelling spray and so many other creative projects we created.

Before moving back, the supervisor told me they were about to get busy and could def use extra hands and for me to reach out when I moved back. Within those three weeks, I also reached out to an old friend to see if I could crash at their place until I make enough to get my own. Welp, after moving 1200 miles back to Chicago via Greyhound with a 4 month old puppy, I reached out to my old Supervisor again to see when they would need me - only to be surprisingly informed that she was just told not to bring on anymore freelancers. ((silent screams))

Fast Forward: It has now been the longest two month of my life - applying to several jobs via Indeed, had a great interview where I thought I had the job, and then find out they didn't select me because they couldn't match my salary desires....I have been nickel and diming. Trying to provide for not just ME now, but for Dolce. Any money I do receive goes towards food and not things we really need, or - to my storage unit in Trinidad so that I don't lose it and all the valuable items within it - like ART I owe people that I wasn't able to ship here or lug back with me.

A few weeks ago, I chose to bite the bullet and ship a few boxes of art from Trinidad to Chicago, and also to ship out a bunch of art I owe folks - because I knew I could get a deal on my site and held a special last month thinking I would sell art to cover those fees....I didn't receive ONE order for the brush pen portrait deal.

As of today, if I don't sell $150 worth of art, my site will be frozen and unavailable to folks who COULD buy some art.

Because of this, I am choosing to do a FLASH SALE in hopes to raise $150 so my site stays up.

I am offering $50 Original Brush Pen + Watercolor Portraits for TODAY ONLY. That means I only need THREE folks to purchase this amazing deal!

I am hoping this works, because I will have no other way for folks to purchase the deal after today - as my site is due to be shut down tomorrow if payment is not received. If you are in no need of a portrait - please consider donating. There are several links to donate via the "DONATE" page - CashApp or PayPal is preferred! And, I thank you so much for helping me keep my business up & running - and, for believing in me!

AND - I am extremely thankful to have received a random message last month to create a logo for someone, or else I am not sure what we would have done for food this past month. But, with that money -  I even chose to take $100 out to pay a few months of my storage unit rent rather than save it for food. I just can't lose that storage unit....

IF the site is down by the time you receive the email blast, you can send the money via CashApp or PayPal for the Flash Sale Portrait!

If you have read this far, I sincerely appreciate you caring enough,

Much Love,
