Sometimes I forget about art, and this beauty was not to be forgotten!
I hadnât called this âfinâ yet, because I had planned on creating another block print for a dandelion leaf, but quite honestly...I love how this is already hinting at leaves with the green spray of line spatters...
For years Iâve been fascinated with using body movement and motion to create lines , which create art. The colors you use can significantly change the effect & the way itâs viewed. From spring, summer & fall color palettes - each person is attracted to their own set of colors based on their mood. Itâs all connected.
The bees were positioned to take advantage of the color explosion already there.
I have been focusing on dandelions since around 2014 when I discovered how important they are for bees survival, as itâs one of the very first blooms in spring they rely on.
Since then, I have created countless dandelion works of art, along with their lovely bed friend- in hopes to raise awareness of how beneficial theyâre not just to bees, but to humans as well!
Theyâre abundant in nutrition & can be used for several things such as remedies, tea, wine, and their leaves and flowers can be thrown in a salad!
So, only pick them if youâre needing a boost and there are bountifuls for bees to have, and lastly PLEASE do not use harmful chemicals or sprays!
For the last 7 years, Iâve seen how my art has inspired other artists to also begin to focus on whatâs important, Iâve seen #nomowmay become a THING! Which means my message is finally being heard, passed on, & people are actually caring to take part in this!!
Also, before you dump more money into that manicured lawn thatâs just for curb appeal...try researching those weeds you pull, and ask yourself - why would they advertise these as âweedsâ - aka âthings we donât want in our precious lawnâ.
Because if you find out you have natural remedies in your backyard, guess what that does to big pharma profits?
Bingo! Now youâre picking up what Iâm throwing down.
#growyourown ...meds. ;-)
